Excellent meal and wonderful service - sat in an outside eating area - only one other couple there. The server wore a mask and gloves for safety, and was very attentive... Food is always good here...
Good food, excellent service.
Food was okay, good portions for price but didnt seem that good, the server seemed unhappy to be here and was kind of rude to my girlfriend. Would give a second chance but not in the near future.
Good choices for Asian food, as they have Chinese, Thai, Sushi. The duck is excellent for a family to Chow down on together. Plus like the hot towel before dinner to clean your hands.
My first time here, so this is my first impression. I had lunch. Bottom line: I loved it! They have good food at good prices. I ordered Shanghai Rice Noodles. It was delicious. Others in our party ordered sushi, sashimi, and tempura. All enjoyed their meals. Service was great. Bathrooms were clean. I would recommend it, and I will be back! Please "like" my review if you found it helpful or informative.
The most authentic Chinese food in Williamsburg. Co-signed by the 900+ Chinese college students studying at William and Mary. Food is outstanding. Pan fried Hong Kong style noodles, Three Flavored Shrimp, Bird'snest, Peking Duck, Hot pots. The food and service is great. Don't sweat the negative reviews. If you actually enjoy Chinese food and not just general tsos chicken, you have have to visit.
There service was slow. I had to wait minutes to pickup 2 things that were really simple. People inside the restaurant were to get there food in a hour. Atmosphere nice. Staff was nice and polite.
Ichiban used to be a favorite, and we would go several times on each visit to VA. On our last stay, we ordered some sushi rolls from Ichiban. The shrimp in one of the rolls was undercooked. My wife had already eaten a piece before we noticed this, and she got sick afterwards. We tried to try and give them a second chance, so when we went back we explained what had happened, and asked them to please make sure the shrimp was cooked this time.We ordered the same roll, and sure enough, the shrimp was raw (cooked shrimp is not grey and gooey). We pointed this out to our waitress, who told the chef, who came out and argued with us, insisting that the shrimp was cooked properly. Now, even if we were wrong and that particular species of shrimp is supposed to be served grey and gooey, the correct response was to offer to cook it a little longer for us, not to get defensive and yell at us about it.Needless to say, we will not be going back.
The food is authentic and delicious. They offer a variety of specialized dishes from many Asian countries such as Chinese, Japanese, Sushi, Thai and Singapore noodles. The staff and owners are personable and cares deeply about the quality of their food and exceptional service their staff provides. If you like Peaking Duck, go here but make a reservation for a table and the duck as it is extremely delicious and runs out quickly. A great restaurant that is a must visit in Williamsburg.
The Birds Nest is now one of my favorites on their menu. Service was excellent as usual.
Food was delicious! It is always good every time.
Everthing about this restaurant was excellent. The food was all that we had hoped for, the service was excellent, our waiter was so professional we could not beleive it was his second day on the job. The atmosphere was everything we hoped for, the music in the background was classic jazz which send it over the edge. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food. Quiet atmosphere. Staff is nice. Great for romantic dinners. Not for families with little ones who would be loud. Can accommodate larger groups
Ichiban is probably the best place to get Asian style food in Williamsburg. It has a great location with a decent amount of parking around the larger outdoor mall. The food is always delicious, hot, and delivered quickly. If you have an hour to spend enjoying a wonderful dining experience, Ichiban is the way to go.
We had the AYCE lunch and it was delicious. All warm food was served warm. Waitress kept our water filled. Even though they were very busy, all food came out in a decent amount of time.
We wore a mask to the table and then took them off when we sat down. Then we were asked to keep wearing them even though other people at their table were not. Then we left.
Great pho, amazing staff, an all around fantastic restaurant. Prices are great too
It is a very beautiful establishment however, when I recently visited, the service was terrible. No one greeted us when we walked in even though 2 workers walked by and looked at us. It took a while to be seated even though it was not busy at all. When a worker finally walked over, she was rude. She didn't walk us to the table, she just walked to the corner and pointed in a unclear direction and then went to service the people behind us in line. We noted that she walked them to their table and got them drinks. As we sat, she looked at us but not one server ever came over to help us. We got up and left. Beautiful place but horrible customer service... I will never forget the experience. We will not be going there again
Thank you Ichiban for being open. I ordered sweet/sour chicken and sesame chicken. They are following all necessary precautions. The food is extremely fresh and delicious. I want to say, there may be a long wait for food. Be understanding! They are working as hard as they can. To the nice lady taking orders, having to run back and forth to get orders. Please know you are appreciated!
Service was excellent. Sushi was delicious. Definitely check this place out if your in the area.
Delicious food! Great service! Very romantic place! The prices are a little high, but on weekdays they have a great special! My favorite restaurant so far. Thank you, Ichiban!
All you can eat Lunch Special was delicious and lots to choose from spring roll, rock shrimp was excellent, Honey roll and Godzilla roll were superb, shrimp fried rice, Wonton Soup was tasty, and get an extra side of mayo sauce to dip your sushi. Love the experience all for $13.50 11:30am- 2:30pm
Great suchi, nice atmosphere
Excellent and fast service. Staff was very friendly! Little to no wait for food and seating.
Best Chinese in Williamsburg. Even if this wasn't the only Chinese restaurant whose interior makes you want to eat-in, the food would make you want to.
Got food poisoning from sushi, only my 2nd time trying this place. Beware
I wanted to like it, but they got my order wrong and then it took another 20 mins for it to come out. By the time I got my food the rest of my table had finished eating. It was an issue of an allergy so I couldn’t just eat the food that came out the first time. There was no manager to speak with, the girl I spoke with said she’d call the manager and let her know what happened. The waitress was very apologetic so I’m not mad at her, but it took too long to redo my order. It was only one sushi roll and I couldn’t really enjoy it once it came to the table.
Today is the second time my take out order from Ichiban was leaking before I even got back to my car. Some of the food is good, but several of their dishes are bland and tasteless. And, the place is much more expensive than most Chinese food places. This is the end of Ichiban for me.
The food was tasty and the service was good.
Probably the only authentic sushi place in Williamsburg and every bite was delicious. I went during the all-you-can-eat lunch special. They have a lot of options for a great set price. The sushi took a while to come out, as should be expected with an on-site sushi chef, but everything that came out went beyond my expectations. The atmosphere and service was also great. I definitely recommend this place because I will be frequenting it.
Pricey a little more upper class than I prefer. Waitstaff was short with my party. Sushi was ok. General Tsos chicken was good. $100 later I determined its not for me.
There are better sushi places around. Prices are a bit high but my waitress was very friendly and extremely good.
Went here for there lunch special, which is a fantastic deal!!! The food was delicious! We had multiple rolls, appetizers, and fried rice and it was all great! Will definitely be going back here and recommending to others.
Although the restaurant was short-staffed, our waitress MP still managed to deliver a delightful dining experience. I ordered the General Tso's and received a plentiful serving of fresh, hot chicken that was unlike any other Chinese food I've ever had (not overly salty and overcooked). I will definitely come back if I visit the Williamsburg area again ☺️
Great place for sushi and drinks. Good lunch specials - All you can eat sushi 12.99
We try to make it to Ichiban at least once a week. Very fresh tasting, housemade sushi for super inexpensive. Always had great service, love this place.
Restaurant was good. Server was quick and concise. Food came out very quickly and was well prepared. I'd say it's worth trying if your in the area and are in the mood for Asian.
Went to Ichiban on a Tuesday night. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were walked directly to our seats. The waitress took our drink order and says she's new. We got our drinks relatively quickly and she took our food order. She didn't seem to know the menu at all and had problems understanding what we were ordering. About 30 minutes later our food showed up and my son's order was wrong. After another 10 minutes another waitress brought out the correct order and apologized for the original waitress. The food itself was rather decent. My sushi was enjoyable and I definitely got more food than I expected. Overall I wasn't exactly pleased with the restaurant but not angry with it. I know the waitress was new but I expected a little more.I would probably return.
The best Japanese and sushi ever! The service is wonderful. Priced reasonably.
Atmosphere is great, prices are great, and the food is amazing.
Last night I ordered thru door dash to support our local restaurants. I ordered general Tao,s chicken and got orange chicken ordered fried rice and got sticky rice. Order Pork lomain and Wonton soup which were correct That made half of the order in correct. It also took an hour and a half
ASK FOR NINA ❤️ Friendly staff, like family. Good food! I always go for the all you can eat special
Week day lunch all you can eat is the best!!! Come on weekdays.
The service hear is embarrassingly slow for decent food. I'm talking a usual wait is anywhere between 30-60 minutes which is just too long. Atmosphere is kinda meh. For the price, this place is not worth it. Overpriced like crazy. Waitresses are also dull and show little to no personality. Expect way more out of a restaurant nowadays, and this comes nothing close to it. Would advice management/ owner to look into hiring quicker and more efficient workers. Flat out unacceptable.
Excellent sushi. A favorite of ours in Williamsburg.
Food was very tasty. Service is very slow, especially when your server gives your order to a different table. Was not expecting to be there for an hour and a half for lunch.
My coworkers and I ordered lunch from here today. The food was edible but there is not much I can say except that. We ordered 5 dishes. 2 were incorrect.1 the meat was not fully cooked. The other was given the wrong side. We asked for soy sauce and were given 2 packets. We told them we needed a few more (5 dishes ordered) they gave us 2 more packets and said that was all we could get. Very unhappy with this experience. We will not being ordering from here in the future.
This is my fav place for sushi in the town. They have “all you can eat” option during the week👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It’s only $13.75 for unlimited appetite🤤🍱🍣🍛
Shame on this restaurant. I frequently am at this restaurant at least 2-3 times a week. Today I was told I could not eat there because I don't have a mask on. They need to know the proper requirements. 1- I have told employees that because of a health issue with my lungs, I am not supposed to wear a mask. 2- you are not required to wear a mask while in a dinning facility. Because of employees incompetence in understanding these rules they have lost a good customer for good.
Food was great and their lunch deals are unbeatable
